Michalina Sablik is an art historian, curator of exhibitions and public programs, exploring art as a critical and speculative tool, the politics of the surreal and post-identity narratives.
Since 2018, she has realized over 30 exhibitions in major institutions across Poland and abroad. She served as the manager of Galeria Promocyjna in Warsaw (2020–2023) and was a researcher-in-residence at MACBA in Barcelona (2024). She is currently completing her PhD at the University of Warsaw. Member of AICA and the Identity Crisis Network.
She is a collaborator at art organisations and centres, including MoMA Warsaw, Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Adam Mickiewicz Institute, Bunkier Sztuki Gallery of Contemporary Art in Kraków, Goethe Institute, Stefan Gierowski Foundation in Warsaw, Gdańsk City Gallery, Polish Center of Sculpture in Orońsko, BWA Tarnów among others.
Her articles have been published in: Magazyn Zacheta Online, Art Monitor, NN6T, ETC Magazine, Szum Magazine, Notebook for Art, Theory and Related Zones, Contemporary Lynx Magazine, Magazyn Kontakt, Sztuka i Dokumentacja, Ikonotheka and numerous books and exhibition catalogs.
