Michalina Sablik is an art historian, researcher, writer and curator of exhibitions and public programmes, exploring art as critical and speculative tool for leaning into the future. Since 2018, she has curated over 20 exhibitions in Poland and abroad. She collaborates with numerous institutions, galleries, NGOs, and art magazines, and is a member of the AICA association. She has worked at Promocyjna Gallery and Staromiejski Dom Kultury in Warsaw, as well as at Adam Mickiewicz Institute/Culture.pl. Currently finishing her PhD at Warsaw University and doing research residency at MACBA in Barcelona.
She is a collaborator at art organisations and centres, including MoMA Warsaw, Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Adam Mickiewicz Institute, Goethe Institute, Promocyjna Gallery, Staromiejski Dom Kultury, Stefan Gierowski Foundation in Warsaw, Gdańsk City Gallery, Polish Center of Sculpture in Orońsko.
Her articles have been published in: Magazyn Zacheta Online, Art Monitor, NN6T, ETC Magazine, Szum Magazine, Notebook for Art, Theory and Related Zones, Contemporary Lynx Magazine, Magazyn Kontakt, Sztuka i Dokumentacja, Ikonotheka and numerous books and exhibition catalogs.
